PRESS RELEASE
London, Thursday 12 February 2026 – 09:00 GMT
MD Health today announces that it has been appointed as the strategic communications partner to the Global Allergy and Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP), providing senior-led policy and advocacy communications support across GAAPP’s global portfolio of initiatives.
Under the partnership, MD Health will work alongside GAAPP to strengthen its role in advancing policies that prioritise lung health worldwide. The focus will be on clear, credible and evidence-led communications that support policy engagement, regulatory dialogue and coalition building, while ensuring that patient voices remain central to global decision making.
The scope of MD Health’s support spans GAAPP’s priority advocacy platforms, including its RSV Immunisation Alliance, Speak Up for COPD and IRIS, a working group focused on next generation inhaler propellants. IRIS is funded by the International Pharmaceutical Aerosol Consortium and brings together patient organisations, public health stakeholders, clinicians and industry to support informed policy discussion on sustainable respiratory care.
Commenting on the appointment, Mita Dhullipala, CEO of MD Health, said.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to policy and advocacy communications that ignite world change. GAAPP plays a critical role in shaping global conversations on lung health. We are truly honoured to have appointed to do this important work. Our role is to support that mission by translating complex evidence and patient experience into clear, credible narratives that resonate with policymakers and influence outcomes.”
Tonya Winders, President of GAAPP, added.
“Our network exists to ensure that lung health is prioritised in policy decisions worldwide and that every person has the opportunity to breathe freely and live a healthy life. Partnering with MD Health strengthens our ability to engage policymakers with clarity, credibility and purpose, while keeping patient voices at the heart of every conversation.”
The collaboration is already underway, with policy and advocacy focused activity planned across immunisation, COPD advocacy and sustainable inhaler transition throughout 2026.
